Meet Ella. Dr. Ella McGuirk is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist in Maine. Originally from Southern Maine, Ella earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and Biochemistry before moving to California to pursue her master’s and doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She went on to practice at a women’s health clinic in California, where she developed a special interest in fertility, reproductive and hormonal health.

Today, Ella offers acupuncture care with a focus on female and male fertility, IVF, IUI, preconception, embryo transfer, and egg retrieval, as well as menstrual concerns, endometriosis, PMOS, pain, stress, and nervous system regulation.

Ella believes that healing begins with creating a safe, supportive space where clients can slow down, feel heard, and reconnect with their bodies. She brings a gentle, grounded presence to her work and takes an individualized approach to each person’s care, meeting them wherever they are.

Drawing from principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ella views each person as a whole and considers the many physical, emotional, and environmental factors that can influence health and wellbeing. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care that helps each client feel more balanced, connected, and at home in their body.
