You’re not alone in this.

Fynbos Integrative Therapies is a calm, gathered space in South Portland for the seasons of life that ask the most of us. Family Planning. Fertility. Pregnancy. Loss. Becoming. Beginning again.

A place to land...

We made Fynbos for the people who hold it all together. The ones who research, plan, and quietly carry more than anyone sees. The journey through infertility, IUI and IVF, pregnancy, loss, gestation and early parenting can feel like a long stretch of road without rest stops. We built this as a place to pause. A place where the hard parts are met with care, and where you don't have to translate your experience to be understood.

This is your place if...

You're somewhere in the long arc of considering, trying, waiting, grieving, hoping, beginning again or recreating. You might be:

  • Not feeling like yourself

  • Quietly wondering if the way you’re feeling is okay

  • Navigating infertility or going through ART (IUI/IVF cycles)

  • Carrying the weight of pregnancy loss

  • In a high-stress pregnancy and looking for support

  • Adjusting to early parenting and the identity shifts that come with it

  • A partner or non-birthing parent who feels unsure where you fit

  • Considering career or identity exploration

Wherever you are in it, you're welcome here.

Care, thoughtfully gathered

At Fynbos, we bring together the kinds of care that often live in separate places. Mental health support. Bodywork. Group connection. All in one calm, considered space, just upstairs from Boston IVF's Maine center.

It's care designed to meet you as a whole person and the many roles that you carefully balance.

“Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by the lack of meaning and purpose.”

What it feels like to be here

Inside our space, the lighting is warm. The pace is slow. The chairs are soft. You'll feel, almost immediately, that someone thought carefully about how you'd feel walking in.

Fynbos is named for a landscape of extraordinary resilience. It is here that the Protea flower is found which is often associated with transformation, courage, diversity and the ability to thrive through change and challenge.

For practitioners considering a home

If you're a counselor, bodyworker, or aligned professional looking for a thoughtful place to practice, we'd love to know you. Fynbos is more than a space. It's a small, intentional community of practitioners who care deeply about this work and about each other.

The room has light-colored walls, large windows with white blinds, a potted plant, and a small round wicker side table with a small plant on it.

Built from lived experience

Fynbos was founded by Samantha, a mental health counselor who walked the IVF path herself while studying to become a therapist. Her work and this space is shaped by lived experience and the recognition that important milestones in the journey of parenthood can be better experienced with readily available focused support.

Whenever you're ready, we're here.

A free fifteen to twenty minute consultation is the gentlest way to begin. No pressure.
Just a conversation.
